Launched in L.A. in 2009, the Bolt Barbers brand simultaneously displays playfulness and masculine quality. The Social Beasts moniker, Shear, Shave and Shine, and the clipper-chimps characters reflect the conviviality Bolt seeks to build with its patrons. The beautiful, strong hand-cut letters in the BOLT logo reassure that below this playful façade is a serious, quality haircut. The brand’s personality is carried throughout, even in the small details of package copy.
